Rain Or Shine?

One For The Book.

"I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element.
It is my personal approach that creates the climate.
It is my daily mood that makes the weather.
I possess the tremendous power to make a life miserable or joyous.
I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration.
I can humiliate or humour, hurt or heal.
In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis will be escalated or de-escalated and a person humanized or de-humanized.
If we treat people as they are, we make them worse.
If we treat people as they ought to be, we can help them become what they are capable of being."

Long Time No Note

Tasting The Tracks.

Really need to remember to update once a week or so not every couple of months. Anyway, a fair number of things have occurred since I last wrote. Danny broke up with me for the third or fourth time, on the day of my friends funeral, which I didn't think was very fair, but we've sorted everything out now and we're being civil which is always good. He broke up with me because he thought I was doing things with other people, which I didn't and would never do, but maybe it was for the best because he can go travelling now, there's nothing stopping him which makes me happy.
I've started driving lessons, I've had ten so far, and I'm still terrible. They're so expensive too! £210 for ten lessons! Haven't had one in about two weeks due to my funds, but I WILL carry on with them eventually. I'm tempted to just get a bike, plus the insurance on them is much cheaper.
Oh oh and i went to Reading Festival, which was awesome! Saw some amazing bands: Foo Fighters, Scroobius Pip, Paramore, Foster The People, Kasabian, The Cure, The Black Keys, Enter Shikari, Bullet For My Valentine, the list goes on. Bought about six pairs of glasses and also lost six pairs of glasses, and various other things which was to be expected, although I did buy a top hat and didn't loose it! Met some awesome people too, me and my friend Brett met these two guys, Sean and Kristie, and watched Foster the People with them and had a really really good time with them. I decided to crowd surf when Enter Shikari played, and some advice for you girlies out there, you WILL feel dirty when you emerge, not the best of ideas if your female, worth it though. The problem with me is whenever I jump into a mosh pit  people feel the need to try and save me because i'm female and my small build, which can get irritating. Me and my friend borrowed my aunties tent and it turned out there were no tent poles for it so we had to buy another tent from Tesco's, oh and I was told that all of my alcohol was confiscated because it was in glass bottles (3 large bottles of vodka), so i bought the same amount again from Tesco's and put it into lemonade bottles, later finding out that they were only joking and I still had the alcohol, so I ended up having double the amount of vodka, it all got drank though, shared quite a bit of it.
I've also been helping one of my friends (Gore) out, he became homeless about three weeks ago, I gave him some money, food, clothes, let him stay here for a little while and got him into a hostel, and he's now in the process of finding a flat, which seems to be going quite well as far as i know.
I've been in Weymouth for a week visiting Sean (Shaun) and just came home today, around seven hours on the train really does drain your energy, was worth it though. Met some really cool people, drank quite a bit, same old story, the night life there is pretty good, people seem to be quite friendly too. Oh and they have lazers on the beach there which is pretty cool! Ate a LOT of chicken noodles, I can't complain though.
Ah yes and my grandad died, wasn't nice at all, kept strong for my family though, and tried to be there for everyone as much as i could but there's not a lot you can do when something like that happends. Turns out he had lung cancer and we only got told a couple of hours before he died, We had his funeral on his birthday. He was like the head of the family and its really bizarre without him. We played his favourite song at his funeral, Hotel California, and me and my sister Issy read something out. She struggled to read it a little but  fair play to her she carried on regardless. R.I.P Grandad :)
Thought i would show you some of my artwork, these are quite old though, enjoy :).

                                                                  Nos Da! xXx

A Whole Lotta' Something.

A Whole Lotta' Something.

Well, I haven't written in a while. I've been really busy, plus the laptop broke so we had to get a new one. The older one got repaired, so we have ended up with not one but two laptops.
It was my birthday on mothers day, I made two weekends of it, which was fun, like a lot of fun, but tiring! So, first I held a little house party at mine, there was about fifteen of us, a big pot of chilli, alcohol, a bonfire and undoubtably a camera, which led to many entertaining photo's. I have to say there was a lot of mess, not to mention the back garden covered in sick. But never the less it was worth it. After that, I had a more family/friends orientated party, it was held in a local pub. To be honest it split in to two sections, i had my quiet/awkward side of the family in one group and then my friends and my crazy side of my family in the other, it was a bit awkward, but people kept feeding me drinks soo by the end of the night i didn't really care that much. After that party, about ten of us booked a mini bus and went to a close town (Newtown), we where there from seven until half twelve, i danced quite a bit, not as much as i would have wanted to but after that we came back to Llanidloes (hometown) and went out for a dance until 3am there. After that I had a little family get together at my house, with a hangover may I add. My dad, step mum and younger brother and sister came over which was nice. My uncle, cousins and sisters made a rope swing, which took a long time to put up seeing as no one in my family is 12feet tall. But the kids (and my uncle) had a good time on it when it was finally up.
My grandad has been in hospital for about three weeks now, with a collapsed lung, water in the lung and surrounding the lung, he also may have TB and nemonia. I went to see him last week and he seems to be trying to stay in a positive mood, gossiping about other patients and chatting with the phillipino doctors, who are teaching him they're native language. He once sneezed and broke two ribs and was fine after that, he's a strong man so I'm sure he'll pull through okay.
I have also finished reading 'The Beach', which I was given for my birthday. It's a really really good book and I would recommend it to any book reader out there.
So it was mine and Danny's one year anniversairy on the 4th of this month, I was a little dissapointed because we didnt do anything romantic, but we did go to the casino, which was my first time. Danny was in a five hour poker tournament, I waited for him, which didn't actually bother me that much, I was happy to wait. Ended up winning a profit of £7 on the slot machines, but spent that and a little more at the bar.

Windy Day.

Well, the other day I visited the wind farm near my house, it was sooo cold.. and windy to say the least, but other than the cold and wind the sun was shining! It's my birthday on the 18th of march, can't wait! Having the usual little get together at my house, drinks around the bonfire, music, the usual kind of thing. The weekend after my birthday I'm holding my birthday in a local pub, and then the day after that we're getting a bus to a place called Aberystwyth and going out for the day/night.

I was having a look online at dresses for my birthday and these are a couple of things that caught my eye.

Anyway, time I started consentrating on the film Chainsaw Massicre. Nos Da. Xx

Something Sweet.

Forgot to post about Valentines day. Well, It's the first Valentine's day I've been someone. At first I didn't think we would be doing anything because Danny told me he was working all day until 9pm, which was a little upsetting but I thought it was best not to let anyone know it bothered me. Anyway I was sat at home, not doing anything and Danny phoned me and told me he had booked work off early and had booked a table in an Indian restaurant. That really cheered me up, and to top that he came to pick me up with a bunch of flowers, a wonderful card and two CD's. We went for the meal, then went to the local pub and played domino's and pool, then we went back to mine and he stayed over. All in all the best Valentines day! :D

Bless you!

Bless you.

The bug seems to be spreading like wildfire around here, first my little sister yesterday, today my other little sister and my boyfriend. I'm looking after my sister willow tomorrow, going to be another day of sick buckets and tissues.
Turns out I'm going to reading! There's going to be four of us going, me, my crazy mother, my boyfriend and a friend of the family. I haven't been to a proper festival in a while, so I'm pretty excited!
Today I decided to start painting and drawing again, lately I haven't been doing much art, and I kind of miss doing it. Took me a while to get into it though. I thought I could put up some pictures of my art work on my blogg :D. Anyway, it's half one in the morning, and it's time I hit the hay. Nos da! :D

14th Move so far, and counting??

Up on The Bryn

Well, haven't posted for a while, I was busy moving house for around the 14th time. We now live in the sticks, in a little house called Y Bryn.
So, I might be getting a portrait done, a local artist approached me and gave me a job opportunity, so fingers crossed! Also, the other day, unfortunately I was sexually harassed, and that might be going to court, but I'm really grateful for the support everyone around me has given :D.
My sister has been ill all day today and yesterday with the classic 'bug', so I've been nursing her all day.
Anyway, enough of my rambling. Nos da :D

Really want to go back to the butterfly house again soon. It was so beautiful, you'd literately walk into this room full of tropical plants, very humid whether, and hundreds of butterflies of all shapes, sizes and colours.

Also, I've finally sorted out some photo's to be taken to be put into my portpholio, can't wait. The pictures will probably be taken at my new home, because I'm moving in around a week!!

Monday, 23 January 2012

Well it was my boyfriend Danny's birthday a couple of days ago and i made him a birthday cake! It's the first cake I've ever made, and to be honest I'm pretty proud of it :). It took around an hour to make, but it was worth it, seeing as he hasn't had a birthday cake since he was about five. Danny, myself , my mum and two of my sisters were there, and we usually make a big deal out of special occasions, so he seemed pretty happy.
